Our Prediction:

England will win

England – Australia Match Prediction | 14-09-2019 06:00

Khawaja has looked good without getting a big score and will need to be more responsible in the absence of Steve Smith. Batsmen: Usman Khawaja, Jason Roy, and Rory Burns are the only batsmen we have selected in our Dream11 team. Burns has been the best opening batsmen from either side so far. Picking Jason Roy is a risk but he could be batting in the middle order in this match, a position he is much more suited for.

Archer bowled with real hostility on his test debut, while Stuart Broad and Chris Woakes have been in the wickets in both tests. For Australia, Pat Cummins and Nathan Lyon are the key bowling figures and both have been in good wicket-taking form with 25 between them so far. Englands pace attack looked reinvigorated with Jofra Archer in the team, however.

As captain then, Pat Cummins took 13 wickets in the first two matches and could be a safe pick for more points. Vice-captain may be slightly safer. With Steve Smith injured, there could be a new game changer in this match. Joe Root is a risky pick given he has not hit top form yet, but the England captain could be key on his home ground.

They won all five games against Australia at home last summer, including smashing their own world record when they posted 483/6 at Trent Bridge. Australia beat England in one of the warm-up matches for this tournament, but in official ODIs England have been dominant in this fixture recently. It followed a 4-1 series win in Australia in their previous series against their old enemy too.

ENG vs AUS Dream11 Prediction

Of the four times he has been dismissed, Stuart Broad has claimed his wicket thrice. David Warner is yet to score in double digits, and that is not even the worry. In the second innings at Lords, he launched an attack right away but that too did not put him out of the misery. To make matters interesting, Broad knows the nook and cranny of Headingley, having sniped up 42 wickets. The incoming delivery especially has been trapping Warner in two minds.

Weve seen two matches end in draws as well while three have failed to give us a result after being truncated. A coveted rivalry, one which dates all the way back to 1970 in the ODI arena, the two sides have seen a humongous 147 cricket matches being contested between the two sides till date. Its Australia who hold a massive advantage, winning 81 matches as opposed to the 61 wins for England.

In the group stage, Australia had defeated the hosts at Lords. England loves playing on surfaces that are batting-friendly and this venue is likely to provide that. However, the defending champions also wont mind playing on such a strip as their batsmen are also in good form. The arch-rivals meet in yet another huge game of the tournament. But the conditions will be pretty different at Edgbaston.

Australia had played six matches till now with five wins and just a single match lost. David Warner and Steve Smith are the top performers of this side. They are now in a good position to qualify for the semi-finals. David Warner played an outstanding inning of 166 runs on 146 deliveries. The batting order of Australia side had an outstanding performance in this match. Usman Khawaja was the second highest run scorer with 89 runs in his account. They won the toss and decided to bat first. This had happened due to the good batting order. He smashed fourteen boundaries and five maximum sixes. They won their most recent match against Bangladesh with a good margin of 48 runs. They put a total of 381 runs on the board in their fifty overs. The skipper, Aaron Finch also played a knocking inning of 53 runs.

A dependable and flawless player, hes befittingly the high scorer of the tournament till now, always ensuring England are never caught in a jittery position. A player extradonaire, a number 3 bat who intertwines the sublime ability to keep his intent in check in the beginning and open his arms once settled into his grove, Root is the player who has held fort in each and every match for England.

The toss is playing an important role in the decision of the all matches of this World Cup as we had seen in all previously played matches. The team who will win the toss will elect to field first. We have seen many times that chasing on these small grounds is a better option as the conditions for batting remain good throughout the match.

They were charged for once again 258 runs. Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, and Nathan Lyon got three wickets each in the first inning. They won the toss and decided to bowl first in the second test match. Pat Cummins got three while Peter Siddle had two wickets to his name. The bowling unit of Australia performed well in the second inning. Australia is leading the Ashes Series with one-zero. The bowling unit of Australian side performed well and restricted the strong batting order of England side to 258 runs. They won the first test but failed to chase the target in the second test.

Tim Paines men will have to perform out of their skin to emulate a similar result, although we cannot strike out an otherwise outcome. Power up your fantasy teams with pace batteries. In their last encounter here, a decade ago, Australia beat England by an innings and 80 runs their only win on the tour. As has been the case thus far in the series, there will be enough for the fast bowlers to shoot down the batsmen. The Ashes is back at Headingley.

Joe Root, David Warner, Aaron Finch, and James Vince are our choices for this match. While Root, Warner, and Finch are among the highest run-scorers of the cricket world cup 2019, James Vince has struggled for runs. His place at the top of the order and the low price for which he is available makes him a good pick to allow for some great players in the other categories as well. Batsmen: Again, there are some very good options in the batting department.
