Who knows, but a man can dream right? Sure there is the constant dread of a let down game, but I just think this game lines up perfectly for the Eagles. Oh I am feeling this game big time. Will they do that? I just want to see the Eagles go in, exert their will, build up a lead and just get ready for Clemson.

The Eagles average 5.9 yards per play, which is 54th in college football. The Boston College Eagles are 24th in Division 1 in points scored with 304. He averages 7.6 yards per pass attempt and 8 adjusted yards per throw. They've run 391 times, averaging 4.6 yards per carry as a rushing unit. His quarterback rating this year is 143.3. Anthony Brown has thrown for 1,390 yards this season. On the ground Boston College has run for 1,818 yards as a team, which ranks 25th in the country. As a team they have accumulated a total of 168 1st downs this year, placing them 71st overall as an offensive unit.

Note: bookmakers' policies on voided matches changes so we always recommend players to check the specific terms of bookmakers they bet with to ensure they understand under what circumstances they void bets. This happens when a match is suspended, posponed, or cancelled e.g. Void bets occur when the bet is not decided as a win or loss and the stake is returned to the player. a common void bet occurs in tennis when a player retires through injury.

Opponent offenses have completed 142 throws on 225 attempts against the Virginia Tech defense this season, ranking them 55th and 31st in the country. They have given up a total of 2,977 yards on D, which is 55th in the nation. Virginia Tech is 54th in college football in points surrendered on defense with 196. They have had 34 penalties for 187 yards on defense this year. The Hokies are 97th in yards per play allowed with 6. That places them 1st in Division 1. The Virginia Tech Hokies pass defense has also surrendered a total of 1,774 yards in the air, which is 58th overall in total pass defense. The Virginia Tech Hokies rush defense has given up 275 attempts for 1,203 yards this season, putting them in 56th place in the country against the run.

The Hokies can compete on defense, despite being beaten up by some others. The Hokies have struggled on offense in terms of consistently putting up points. BC isnt terribly creative on offense, so its smashmouth style should lead to some lengthy possessions. With the total approaching 60 points, I like the under. Despite the turn on offense this season, the Eagles are still a pretty good defensive team and I think they will give Virginia Tech problems.

Offensively, Tech is putting up 32.1 points and 436.7 yards per game. Their run defense is giving up 171.9 yards per contest. Ryan Willis has thrown for 1,258 yards and 10 touchdowns with three interceptions. The Hokies are allowing 28 points and 425.3 yards per game on defense this season. Damon Hazelton is the leading receiver with 35 catches for 596 yards and six touchdowns while Steven Peoples has rushed for 458 yards and five scores.

A future NFL running back (AJ Dillon) mixed in with a B1G-esque offensive line will be especially rough to handle for a Virginia Tech defense looking for answers. Group tackling will be crucial in order to bring down the main cog for the Boston College offense. The Eagles defense hasn't lived up to their billing in terms of yardage allowed, but they are exceptionally talented on the defensive line and making plays in the secondary. I'm just not confident in either unit to do such. Not only did the Hokies surrender465 rushing yards against Georgia Tech, but they struggled in keeping defenders healthy. If the offense can sustain drives and the defense can keep Dillon from posting Heisman numbers, this will be a win. AJ Dillon is a bruising force at 6-foot 245-pounds and weighs as much or more than eight out of eleven Hokies defenders.
